Operator-Assembler

Main duties

Reporting to the Technician Team Leader Equipment Manager, the Operator-Assembler is responsible to:

  • Perform start-ups, production shutdowns and assemble and disassemble moulds
  • Provide an organized workstation for the Quality Operator to ensure that work is ergonomic, clean, safe, and meets product quality standards
  • Work with quality operators to ensure that all parts produced remain within the limits defined by quality control
  • If necessary, readjust settings during production and verify that presses and production equipment are operating properly
  • Perform tests on new moulds
  • Optimize production
  • Help resolve quality problems in collaboration with the Quality Manager and the R&D department

Job requirements

Education:
Have a DEP in Moulding Machine Setting and Operation, or a DEC in Plastics Processing, or have experience in a similar position

Experience:
12 to 24 months in the same or related field

Skills:
Good communication and analysis skills
Good manual skills and mechanical knowledge—an asset!
Versatile, methodical and autonomous




Quality Operator

Main duties

The Quality Operator’s work involves:

  • Finishing and performing small operations on plastic parts
  • Checking parts quality
  • Packaging products

All these operations must be performed according to client-specific procedures.

Have a good sense of observation

Be efficient



Metrology Quality Operator

Main duties

The Metrology Quality Operator’s work involves:

  • Finishing and performing small operations on plastic parts
  • Checking parts quality
  • Using precision measuring instruments:
    • OGP machine
    • Microscope
    • Vernier (callipers)
    • Retention test
    • Etc.
  • Entering the test results into a computer
  • Packaging products
  • Inspecting products before they are put into inventory and upon receipt

All these operations must be performed according to client-specific procedures.
